Faye Battersby ’25 and Evelyn Savoie ’25 Launch Their Collegiate Soccer Journeys with Early Success
Two of our newest Marianapolis alums began their collegiate soccer careers earlier this fall season. They are both having a great time on the field, adapting to the pace and intensity of college-level play. It is exciting to see how they are applying the skills they developed during their time at Marianapolis.

Faye Battersby ’25 plays as a defender for the High Point University Women’s Soccer team. At the beginning of the season, she played 16 to 27 minutes per game, which is impressive for a first-year player on a Division I team. During her first start against Elon University, she played the full 90 minutes and recorded two Shots on Goal (SOG). Faye has since solidified her starting position, averaging 65 to 75 minutes of play per game. On Saturday, October 11, the HPU Panthers achieved their first victory of the season, defeating Presbyterian College 3-0.

Evelyn Savoie ’25 plays as a midfielder for the Macalester College Women’s Soccer team. In the second game of the season, Evelyn scored her first two career goals! The first goal came from a setup by one of her teammates, while the second was a rebound off a shot by another teammate. The Scots secured an impressive 8-0 victory against Crown College. So far this season, Evelyn has been playing between 28 to 53 minutes per game. On Saturday, October 11, Macalester College achieved a 3-2 victory over the College of Saint Benedict, marking their first win in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) this season.

Not only do Faye and Evelyn bring talent and passion to the field, but they also exemplify the spirit of teamwork and sportsmanship. We look forward to following their progress as the season continues and wish them much success in their athletic journeys. We will be cheering them on every step of the way!
