Bruce Edwards '73 Honored at the Masters

Bruce Edwards ’73 was recently honored at the Masters Golf Tournament for his career as a caddie to Tom Watson.

Edwards passed away in 2004 after a battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS.  Watson, a two-time Masters champion, honored Edwards by placing an egg salad sandwich on the bench at the 13th hole. During his time as caddie, Edwards used to enjoy an egg salad sandwich at the 13th hole. Watson has been honoring Edwards in this way since 2005.

The 2016 Masters was also Watson’s final time at the tournament. Edwards life was chronicled in Caddy for Life: The Bruce Edwards Story by John Feinstein.
