Bruce Edwards '73 Honored at the Masters

Bruce Edwards ’73 was recently honored at the Masters Golf Tournament for his career as a caddie to Tom Watson. 

Edwards passed away in 2004 after a battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS.  Watson, a two-time Masters champion, honored Edwards by placing an egg salad sandwich on the bench at the 13^th hole. During his time as caddie, Edwards used to enjoy an egg salad sandwich at the 13^th hole. Watson has been honoring Edwards in this way since 2005. 

The 2016 Masters was also Watson’s final time at the tournament. Edwards life was chronicled in Caddy for Life: The Bruce Edwards Story by John Feinstein.
