Anthony Martucci ’14 Reflects on Marianapolis and Beyond
When alum Anthony Martucci ’14 looks back on his journey from Marianapolis student to co-founder of PIN Insurance, he sees a series of moments that shaped who he is today. Anthony reflects on the lessons that have guided his journey and the lasting impact this community has had on both his personal and professional life. His story is a testament to how the values learned at Marianapolis continue to inspire Golden Knights long after graduation. We hope you enjoy this special alumni Q&A feature!

1. Can you share your journey since graduation?

After graduating from MPrep, I attended Bryant University, where I majored in Marketing and Communication. I served as a Resident Assistant and co-hosted a sports radio show that received multiple awards. I also interned with Liberty Mutual during the summer after my junior year, which led to a full-time offer as an outside sales representative before I graduated.

I began my career at Liberty Mutual, where I worked until August 2022 before co-founding PIN Insurance with my business partners. Since our launch, we’ve grown a $3.1 million book of business, and we continue to expand—helping clients with both personal and commercial insurance needs.

2. What is one of your favorite memories from your time at Marianapolis?

It’s difficult to choose just one, but some of my fondest memories come from spending time in the Student Lounge and laughing with friends. Many great moments and lifelong friendships were built in that space.

3. Was there a teacher, coach, or mentor who had a lasting impact on you?

A mentor who had a profound and lasting impact on me at MPrep was my brother. He was the main reason I chose Marianapolis, and he has always been an incredible role model. I remember visiting him when I was still in middle school and thinking, “Wow, his class is so close and supportive.” His best friends, who graduated in 2010, have since become some of my closest friends as well. We continue to share stories and memories from our time at MPrep to this day.

4. Which tradition or event at Marianapolis meant the most to you?

I really enjoyed giving my Senior Voice, but if I had to choose, Rake Day was my favorite Marianapolis tradition. While a full day of manual labor might not sound exciting, it was always a day filled with laughter, teamwork, and fun with friends. Jumping into leaf piles and goofing around created memories I’ll never forget.

5. How did Marianapolis help shape who you are today?

Marianapolis provided me with the structure and discipline that gave me an early advantage in life. The school also taught me the importance of treating everyone with kindness and respect, which has helped me build strong personal and professional relationships. Those values have been instrumental in growing my business and my career.

6. What classes or clubs influenced your career path or interests the most?

What influenced me most wasn’t necessarily a class or club, but the experience of being a Peer Leader. It helped me realize my passion for helping others, leading by example, and being someone others can look up to. That experience inspired me to become a Resident Assistant at Bryant University, which gave me the confidence to later lead new sales representatives at Liberty Mutual. Ultimately, that leadership foundation helped me build and lead my own insurance agency today.

7. Did you discover any passions at Marianapolis that you still pursue today?

One passion I discovered at MPrep was weightlifting and fitness. I joined the weightlifting club during my junior year, and it quickly became something I truly enjoyed. Fitness remains an important part of my life today, and I actually met one of my best friends through weightlifting at MPrep.

8. What advice would you give current Marianapolis students as they look toward the future?

Enjoy every moment—it goes by faster than you think. Try to recognize that you’re living in the “good old days” right now. One of the best pieces of advice I’ve received came from my Mom: treat everyone with respect and compassion, because you never know what the future holds or when your paths may cross again. That mindset has helped me build a strong network and create opportunities throughout my career. Make as many connections as you can at Marianapolis—your classmates today could be your colleagues, partners, or lifelong friends tomorrow.

9. What does being part of the Marianapolis Alumni Network mean to you?

It means a great deal to me. The Marianapolis community is one of the strongest and most supportive networks I’ve ever been a part of. When I was asked to participate in this feature, I felt truly honored and grateful for the opportunity to give back in any way I could.

10. As Marianapolis approaches its Centennial, what do you hope for the school's next 100 years?

My hope is that Marianapolis continues to preserve what makes it so special—its structure, values, and sense of community. The school helps students grow into well-rounded individuals who care deeply about others, and I hope that spirit continues to define Marianapolis for the next hundred years and beyond.
