Welcome to Marianapolis!

As members of a compassionate community deeply rooted in Catholic tradition, students grow and thrive, developing their voices, skills, and content in preparation for success in college and beyond. Founded in 1926 and as celebrated in our mission statement, we educate students in the Catholic tradition of academic excellence with a commitment to an active faith in God and a dedication to building character with content, compassion, and integrity. At Marianapolis, these fundamental values are realized in ways that build vibrant relationships and learning across the community.

Our academic program connects skills and content thematically to the larger world and each student’s experience, supporting a process in which learning and growth are exciting, relevant, and authentic. Guided by faculty, students are supported in taking ownership of their learning through our Habits of Mind, which includes a focus on mastery of academic and social emotional learning skills. In learning skills and content, our students practice asking critical questions of themselves and others in support of self-advocacy, academic and personal growth, and making a positive impact in their world. Our Centers of Excellence program is a prime example of this in the areas of Business & Entrepreneurship, Health Science, Innovation, and Social Justice.

In classrooms, on stage, on sports fields and courts, and in residential houses and halls, positive relationships are foundational to our global and diverse community. Marianapolis adults support each student and their growth through proactive and positive communication and strong partnerships with families around the world.

Unity, our theme for the 2024-2025 school year, is inspired by our Catholic heritage and ongoing commitment to our shared values. Students will explore the theme in classes, our grade-based advisory program, student leadership, and hands-on opportunities here in our local community and around the world. Beyond the classroom, experiential education is a hallmark of the Marianapolis experience, with Experiential Learning Trips being offered on weekends and a program for all students at the end of the year:  LEAP (Learn. Explore. Advance. Prepare.) Week.

Stepping onto campus, student voice and community pride are palpable, from student-led clubs to local and global community service initiatives throughout the year. The positive impact of our student leader is seen in all parts of campus from life, from mentoring of freshmen by senior Peer Leaders, one of more than 20 leadership opportunities, to student-led “Rec Sports” and Residential Assistants in our houses and halls.  We love to celebrate the hard work and accomplishments of our community, as evidenced by standing-room-only crowds at dance shows and concerts, thunderous applause at Morning Gathering as students share reflections and musical performances, and the cheering and creative themes of our student section at home games throughout the year.

Ours is a community of thinkers, strivers, doers, and achievers; we are excited for you to join in this remarkable tradition. I encourage you to learn more about the vibrant Marianapolis community that we call home. Please reach out anytime!

Go Knights!

Best,
