The Marianapolis Prep Golden Knights, with a 5-5 record in the 2012 season, are led by veteran Captain Eric Bordua and Assistant Captains James Scheuritzel and Brian Barrette. The Golden Knights' depth at midfield led by returners Ian Waldron, Brian Barrette, Luke Jones and Steven Carlson will allow the offense to keep its high goals-per-game average from last year. Brian Barrette and Yang "Joel" Liu come into the season with a high faceoff win percentage from last year and look to keep those numbers. Assistant Captain James Scheuritzel will anchor the defense with groundball leader from the 2012 season and veteran defender and long pole midfielder Jeff Perizcarka looking to continue to make an impact on the field. Sophomore goalie Jake Collins returns from a 2012 season which saw over a 60% save percentage. The Golden Knights have enjoyed the addition of many underclassmen to the squad this year, many looking to make an impact on the field including Corey Pacheco, Tim Saucier, Matt Benoit and Patrick Foley. The Golden Knights open their season on April 8 at Chapel-Hill Chauncey-Hall School
