Project HOPE
Helping ♦ Other ♦ People ♦ Everywhere
The goal of Project HOPE is simple: to help other people everywhere. This simple mission offers an extraordinary opportunity for Marianapolis students to participate in truly transformative experiences. With a rich diversity of service options, there is a way for each student to get involved. From a week-long service trip to Appalachia to an afternoon at a local nursing home, fundraising to fight cancer or creating a new outreach program, students bring HOPE to others through their compassion and support.
Marianapolis is committed to educating a generation that values their community and strives to make the world a better place. Starting within the walls of their own school and expanding outward, students live the mission of the school. Through helping others, students learn that service is two-fold: it aids those in need and also brings pride and fulfillment to those who participate. They, too, reap rewards from helping others.
Students participate in community service because it is an essential part of a young person’s growth. As stated in its mission, Marianapolis is dedicated to “building character with content, compassion and integrity” and helping others is a key way to build these characteristics. Through active, hands-on experiences, students genuinely understand their unique gifts and talents, allowing them to see the exceptional impact they can have on the world. In this way, service helps students understand themselves, putting them in the position to become leaders in all they do.
While its mission is simple, Project HOPE delivers a product that changes lives by transforming our world and our students. Each day, Marianapolis students are bringing HOPE to our future.
