Marianapolis Preparatory School

Parents

Marianapolis welcomes parent involvement at every level and appreciates all that MPS parents do for the school. Parents are always welcome on campus; day parents are a strong presence at games, drama productions, and on-campus events. Distance can be prohibitive for the parents of our boarding students, but we work to help every parent to maintain contact with advisors, teachers, and dorm parents.

The Mothers of Marianapolis (MOMs) group hosts various activities throughout the school year. They are especially known for preparing delicious refreshments for students and the faculty. From Mardi Gras Ice Cream Sundaes and the International Day feast, to Dodge Ball Tournaments and Teacher Appreciation Days, the MOMs share their love and MPS pride with the whole community.

Our Dads are a key part of the community as well. One cherished annual tradition is Steak and Rake Day: a morning of campus clean-up to which our dads bring their yard equipment and expertise to remove the piles of leaves our students create the day prior.
