Community Service
All Marianapolis students participate in community service activities because we believe it is an essential part of their education and growth. Students discover that, by helping others, it is they who reap the reward because they feel so good when making a difference in someone else’s life. Service projects include weekly nursing home visits, contributing to National Denim Day, donating to the food bank, and participating in the Multiple Sclerosis Walk and the Giving Tree.
Every spring, the campus mobilizes to take part in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life fund raiser. For a full twenty-four hours, members of Marianapolis’ Team Knight Life are on the track walking. An effort that began several years ago with four students participating now includes over 200 students, parents, alumni, and staff.
By making community service part of their everyday lives, Marianapolis students learn that helping others is a fulfilling, joyous mission that they carry with them for the rest of their lives.
